Brian Lee founded the Orbiters 11 years ago, and the band keeps getting better and better as the years go by. In addition to the info on our band news page, here's some fun items from the recent past: Blues Orbiters with Tap Dancer Tim Hickey! Here's a video of the Orbiters providing the tunes to accompany dancer Tim Hickey at a recent swing

For 2008, the Blues Orbiters were the closing act on the Main Stage, following Tommy Castro. A mighty fine time was had by all, with dancing in the streets till midnight. For some great photos from the festival, check out this link the the "inland echo" web magazine. They did a great job of capturing the entire festival, including our closing set! The link below is to the Orbiters photos.: _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Blues Orbiters nominated for "Best Band 2008"! Thanks to our fans for this nomination! All the "Best Band" candidates played sets for the awards ceremony, and it was a fantastic party! If you're not a member, consider joining! It's a great organization with free monthly meetings featuring live music. They also publish the always informative monthly "Bluesletter" with news and information on the Washington blues scene. Check out the WBS at www.wablues.org Thanks to the video talents of John Gulla, you can view the first song of the Orbiters set on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Seja5aBm9JY You can also find it easily by going to the YouTube site and searching on Blues Orbiters. Way to go John! Special thanks also go to friends Zab Zyvoloski and Clancy Dunnigan who captured some fine photos of our BB performance. No flash was allowed, so this took real talent! The first row photos are from Zab, the second and third row are from Clancy. Thanks guys! ______________________________________________________________________________________ Orbiter Brian Lee video: Salmon Bay Eagles Blues Night 18th Anniversary Party! Paul Green hosted the celebration of 18th years of Thursday Blues Nights and invited lots of his pals from the blues community. John Gulla was on the scene with his trusty video equipment and captured Orbiter Brian Lee, Brian Buttler, KT Tuttle, and Mark Dalton performing Elmore James' "The Sun is Shining". Thanks to Paul, Brian, KT and Mark! It was a blast! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1k6Z5_R7G The one and only Blues Boss, aka Dennis Dudley was on the scene as well and captured the fine photos shown here!
Thanks to the Salmon Bay Eagles for keeping the blues thriving in Ballard every Thursday night, and to Paul for hosting the great party! ________________________________________________________________
