Washington Blues Society

2010 "Best of the Blues Award" nominations!!!

"Best Blues Act"         "Best Traditional Blues Act"          "Best Male Vocalist"

We're happy to report that we've been nominated by the WBS for BB awards in three categories for 2010! Our band has been nominated for both "Best Blues Act" and "Best Traditional Blues Act", and Orbiter Brian Lee has been nominated for "Best Male Vocalist"! We're very honored by this recognition. Thanks so much to our fans and the WBS!

The awards show to announce this years' awards will be held at Seattle's Triple Door on Sunday May 16, 2010. It's always a great get-together for musicians and music lovers alike.  If you aren't a member, consider joining the WBS as it's a fun way to stay in touch with what's going on in the local blues scene.  For more info on the WBS and the BB's, check out the WBS site at:

www.wablues.org

Remember to vote! If you aren't a current member, you can still join and place your vote before the deadline of April 14th.

For tickets to the BB Awards show at the Triple Door, see:

Thank you WBS members for your nomination! We really appreciate it!

Third CD...

We have our tunes developed for our next CD, and plan to start tracking this month (March).  Unlike our last albums which were a mix of cover tunes and originals, the new CD will consist of all original tunes. We're currently performing many of them, and have some additional tunes in the works that haven't made their debut on the stage yet.

We expect to have the album released in early summer, and we'll keep you posted on progress!

Videos!

In the meantime, you can watch some of our songs on You Tube!  Marlee Walker invited us to perform on her SCAN-TV "Blues To Do" live TV show, and she and her crew did a great job capturing us on video. Here's links to view these sons:
